CALICO HOMES TO GET ‘MOTs’

Calico Homes is to look under the bonnet of its 4,400 properties with a new programme of quality checks, to identify further potential improvements for coming years and improve its services to tenants.

The ‘Property MOT’ scheme, builds upon ten years and millions of pounds of investment, and will help further raise the standards of accommodation for residents.

Launching the scheme, Lisa Bell, contracts manager for Calico Homes, said:

"Calico has met the government’s Decent Home Standard well ahead of schedule. The MOTs are now going to help us to build on this, as well as give us an indication of how we can help our customers in the future.

"Be sure to ask to see an identification card before allowing anyone into your home."

Calico tenants each will receive inspection visits, which will look at both the inside and outside of the home, and last approximately 15 to 30 minutes.
